Beta Users of WhatsApp Are Reporting Several Screens Bug Which is Making The App Usable Almost Not At All

version 2.24.24.5, Android users enrolled in whatsapp beta face a bearable long-term bug that prompts the screen to go completely green when accessing a chat or open message. This is different from the normal green lines usually caused by external hardware likeliness on OLED boards, where the bugs fixes itself and manial screen wait lets you control the clearer image version.

Short Term Fixes for the Green Screen Bug Faced by WhatsApp Users

Currently, users are advised to exit the beta version of WhatsApp in order to download the normal version of the app, although some users claim that the problem remains even after users have made the switch. One other suggested workaround is to use WhatsApp on secondary devices like a laptop, tablet or an iPhone, until such a time when an official fix is introduced by Meta.

Response from Meta and Future Course of Action

So far, Meta has not given a schedule within which users will expect correction of the reported problem and since the problem itself is confined within the beta, it is not likely to be treated with urgency. Beta users will have to bear with the unfortunate bug until the next beta update in which beta users will be able report it resolved.
